Treasury Time!!

Since May I honestly haven't felt like doing a whole lot unless it had to do with Tornado relief, but as life slowly gets back into it's normal groove I have been able to do the things I love, one of which is making Treasuries of items I love on Etsy.  This one was inspired by a Bruno Mars song. (I like most of the song but there's one part well just enjoy it with adult ears *smile*)  Also I have been working on my response to my feelings about everything that has happened and will continue to happen here in Joplin, MO. Until than enjoy can please comment on this treasury and don't forget about the giveaway just below this post. It ends on Friday and there are many ways to enter!!

Spring Celebrations

I haven't posted a good ole treasury in quite a while so I thought I would share one I recently made to celebrate brides (since I have eight friends getting married this summer) and father's, whether biological or ones who stood in that space.  Feel free to check out these great etsy artists and feel free to stop by and leave a comment or two.

May Days Giveaway

As thanks to all my faithful followers I have for you another great giveaway!  One of my goals to to try and promote Etsy artists who are either new to the site, currently undiscovered or offer just plain cool stuff.  In an effort to do this I have for you some great artists who have offered their wonderful creations for your winning pleasure.

Artist #1:  ExpressionsWallArt

Tell us a little about yourself

Here at Expressions Wall Art we are a full service vinyl and design shop. We strive to create unique and inspiring vinyl wall decals and stickers suitable for any home or office. We enjoy doing custom orders for kids rooms, nurseries, nature themes, phrases for living areas, or just about anything you can imagine that you can stick on a wall. Feel free to convo us for any custom order ideas you may have.

What is Expressions so generously offering my readers?  A chance to win a set of the Canister decals you see above in any color shown on their listing!

Artist #2: SimpleScentsByKeisha

How did you start making candles?

As a kid I grew up around candles. My mom always had one lit in every room of our house. I remember going to candle shops all the time and I would get these horrible allergic reactions from smelling too many candles! (Luckily that doesn't happen anymore). As I grew older I followed in my mother's footsteps and quickly became obsessed with candles. One day my dad jokingly told me that I should start making my own, so I did and I've been making candles ever since! I love it!

What is your favorite scent?

My absolute favorite scent is Jamaica Me Crazy. I love spending time in the sun and this scent makes me feel like I'm sunbathing on the beach! It's amazing how candles can take you places. :)

About myself

I'm a twenty-something almost-graduated music education student/songbird from St. Cloud, MN. Aside from music and singing, I love art, words, and travelling to new places. My candles and I share a tiny, little one-bedroom apartment. It's cozy and it always smells amazing!

What is SimpleScentsByKeisha offering to my readers?  Three of her  8 oz candles, plus if you can’t wait to purchase one of her candles you can use her coupon code GIVEAWAY25 to received 25% off you next order!

SO HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:

Mandatory entry: is to simply visit both of  the Etsy shops and tell me which item and/or scent you like the most!  (Two automatic entries)

Bonus entries:
  • Follow my blog
  • Heart an Etsy shop of your choice; (one entry per heart so 2 entries possible)                            See above for links
  • Tweet the following "I hope 2 win at Attempts at Being Artistic. 4 ur chance 2 win go 2 http://preview.tinyurl.com/3fupgqj"
IMPORTANT!
Don't forget to leave a comment on this blog post and tell me which of the above you have done! Leave a separate comment for each entry, so at least one comment for mandatory entry and then a comment for every extra entry. Also, please leave a link to your blog, tweet etc. Remember also to leave your e-mail address so that I can contact you in case you win (you can put your e-mail in a form like this: "merryroseberry(at)hotmail.com " if you prefer). You can not be entered if you don't post below!! The giveaway ends in May 30th at 12:00 am (cst).  The winner(s) will be notified by email in about two days time and will also have their name posted on this page so others may know that the winner(s) have been chosen. Since you are receiving a third party's artwork I will be passing along information so that you can arrange for shipment. Some items may come from other countries so they may not arrive in as timely a fashion.

As you can see there are many ways to enter.

Thanks everyone and Good luck!!

We'll have a new prize about every two weeks so always check back.

All In a Days Work

I have had a very busy week but it’s all been for good.  I started my week by meeting with some of the lovely ladies of the Jo Mo Etsy Team.  One of the members, Plain Jane, offered up some very good tips in getting our name out there a little bit more.  On Wednesday I was pleased to find a blitz in hearts and Etsy love and discovered I had a print listed on the front page! Needless to say I was very excited .  From that I got a sale of that said exhibited work. It’s quickly  emerging as crowd  favorite.

I than had a blast meeting with Mark from 9art Photography. I’m going to have a small “internship” with him, which means I’ll be holding any lights or reflectors needed.  It might not sound like much but I’m excited to learn more about that side of photography.

Last but not least my Etsy shop is being featured in a giveaway on Lifeologie. You should totally check her blog out!  And don’t forget today and tomorrow is the last day to enter the giveaway I’m hosting on my blog.  Freebies all around.  *whew* I made it through. HA!  Be sure to check back to see some new pieces I just added to my store that has a little bit of a Carnival flare. Until than here’s a little freebie to make your day.  Just go to My Publisher’s page on Facebook. Click the Like button and you’ll be given a code for a free mini book.  These are small but great little gifts for hmm Mother’s Day maybe?!? This is only while supplies last so hurry.

Loving the New Life around Me

Although the weather here in Missouri seems to have a hard time making up it's mind on what season it wants to display I have managed to capture a few small hints of spring. One of my favorite new photos is this one

I just loved how it turned out. I have taken some more recently and can't wait to see them.  Another great way to celebrate the changing of the seasons is with a treasury. I mean how hard is it not to want to party with some Etsy favs

Coming up soon, I had the fun experience of turning an old birdcage into a great spring planter.  You know you don't want to miss that.

Finally I have found a new blog and fallen in love.  It contains a ton of Etsy giveaways and one of those great giveaways is found here.  Check them out and who knows you could be the next winner.
